Oral Health Care

Oral health has been shown to be a predictor of general health, that is, the healthier your teeth and gums, the healthier you are in general. Oral health infections can transfer to internal organs through the bloodstream, so if you have a tooth infection or a toothache, it’s important to book an appointment as soon as possible.

Oral health care is a two-fold process, involving at-home care for your teeth and gums, and in-office regular cleanings that can remove more plaque and pinpoint any future issues.

Though your oral health care routine may vary depending on your particular needs, brushing at least twice a day, and preferably after every meal, and flossing at least once a day can help you avoid most common dental issues such as cavities and gum disease. Avoid sugars, sweets and sticky foods if possible.

Typically, routine cleanings and checkups should be done once every six months, although you may require more frequent dental cleanings if you’re prone to gum disease.

Give us a call if it’s been a while since we’ve seen your smile!
